This site will soon be moving!

You heard it here first: the Montreal Pagan Resource Centre website will be moving to its own domain in about a week, so please update your bookmarks. The new website is:

www.mprc-crpm.ca

The new website will continue to feature the updated blog, but will also contain more features, pages, and gadgets! We had to move to our own domain for a few reasons, not the least of which being that Blogger is no longer supporting FTP blogs. So we'll be using Wordpress, which will give us more power and flexibility to keep track of the pagan events and news in our community.

Red Spiral Women's Retreat

Hello everyone,

I'm sharing with you a public event for women from July 9th-July 11th 2010. It's highly pagan oriented but not exclusive, so all women are welcomed.

Below has been copy pasted from the site:

This event was created by women, for women of all backgrounds, 16 years of age and older. If you have ever thought it would be nice to get away from everything, go camping for a weekend and focus on yourself for a change, then come join us.

The theme for this year is "The Path to a Fulfilling Life".

The Red Spiral Women's Retreat will take place at Raven's Knoll, a campground and event centre located near Eganville, Ontario, Canada. This beautiful, natural 100 acre property is located on the Bonnechere River, near Golden Lake.

In addition to the first ever Pagan Art Exposition (sponsored by the MPRC), it is Pagan Sunday Brunch. Come and have breakfast before taking in the best that local pagan artists have to offer.

No level of pagan experience is necessary, but as long as you can wield a knife and fork like a guru master, you'll be respected and admired by your peers.

This is a kid-friendly event, so feel free to bring your offspring.

If you have any questions, send me a message on FB or email me at jdhobbes @ gmail.com. If you don't know anybody, don't fret. Ask the resto guys for Hobbes or look for the pentacle.

NEWS: Gaia Gathering 2010 has been Cancelled!

What is Gaia Gathering? The CNPC is a grassroots national Pagan organization founded in 2004. Each year the conference is hosted over the Victoria Day long weekend in a different Canadian city through a bidding process similar to the Olympics. Past host cities include Edmonton, Halifax, Winnipeg, Ottawa, and Vancouver.
The conference is organized collaboratively by Canadian Pagans and includes three-days of discussion and workshops about our Paganisms – our Asatru, our Druidry, our Wicca and so on— and brings together Canadian Elders, community leaders, and interested Pagans or Pagan-curious for networking, discussion, and community. Traditionally, the panels and discussions have focussed on the issues we experience as Canadian Pagans living in the 21st century, with special emphasis on the experience of being Pagan in the host city.

This year, it was to be held in Guelph, Ontario, but due to underwhelming registration reponse, the organizers have decided to cancel it this year.

Read more about it at the Gaia Gathering website.
